Le Chival d'hiver | The Winter Horse

I love this painting so much. It gave me an opportunity to juxtapose 2 very different styles into a single focus. This painting came to me in a dream and is one of my favorite paintings I've ever done. I used fluid acrylics and poured the background for  that gives the feeling of movement and temperature when married with the realism of the white horse. For the horse's mane, I used fluid acrylics in a syringe and eased the paint onto the canvas through the needle to control the hairlike quality of the mane. Le Chival d'hiver is sure to be the focal point of any room.
